Representation: Proposed number of houses for Sproughton is way too many.
Understand need for more family homes but growth location should be evened out across Babergh so there are more smaller sites instead of large ones.
Hundreds of extra houses would cause chaos to the small roads.
Roads are always extremely busy and cannot cope.
Smaller development of 50 or so houses could have lower impact on community infrastructure, encourage small builders with individual looking houses which would compliment beautiful village.
River walks and landscapes should be preserved as fresh air, exercise and green area enjoyment helps health.
Complies with the duty to Co-operate?Yes

I would like to lodge my response to the BMSDC JLP consultation document .Please include me on the mailing list for any further updates and progress.
I understand that the number of houses proposed for Sproughton is 2,310. This is way too many for our small and beautiful village. Whilst I understand there is a need for more family sized homes in Sproughton, I think that the location of growth should be much more evened out across Babergh so that there are many more smaller sites than just a few large ones. Development should not lead to pretty little English villages being swamped and joining up with each other .Hundreds of extra houses all with 2 cars, would cause chaos to the small roads such as Lower Street and High Street that are not very wide with houses built close to the path ( with no front garden). These roads are always extremely busy and cannot cope especially when there is an accident on the Orwell Bridge and massive lorries block all our roads. A small development in Sproughton say 50 or so houses would have a much lower impact on community infrastructure, encourage small builders with individual looking houses and bungalows which would compliment our beautiful village, instead of large building companies that would change and destroy our village community. Also I would like our river walks and landscapes preserved as the fresh air and exercise of walking by the river and enjoying our green areas keep us all healthy.
Thank you for taking the time to read our comments.
