Representation: Option RG2, which proposes that sites should be allocated in towns and core villages is supported. However, the plan should not artificially constrain growth where sustainable development sites could come forward as windfall where it can be demonstrated that there is capacity in the infrastructure and the adverse impacts do not outweigh the benefits. Therefore, the plan should also include a criteria based policy to make it clear that development which is sustainable and be approved without delay in accordance with the NPPF, enabling flexibility to respond to local demand and significantly boost the supply of housing.
