Original submission

Dear Sirs,
we were reviewing submissions for the joint Mid Suffolk and Babergh Joint Local Plan and noticed an anomaly in one of the plans relating to our land at Woolpit Business Park. The plan on the draft document shows two boundary lines which are both inaccurate and do not encompass the current extent of buildings and serviced land at the business park. I am led to understand that the records within MSDC might not be up to date, despite the best efforts of your planning department. I entirely understand that keeping these records is a hard task and not made easier by the constantly moving goalposts of technology.

However, Woolpit Business Park is a key employment site in this district and having an accurate boundary within policy documents is crucial to us going forward. We spoke with Andy McMillan for advice and so attach a plan showing the extent of the modern business park, which we hope will be useful in updating the draft plan. If we can assist further by providing CAD format plans then we will be happy to do so (although our main CAD technician is on holiday at present).

As a business we are really pleased to see the current progress with the draft local plan, so I hope you do not see this as moaning about the hard work you are doing - we know it is a mammoth task.

Best regards,

Tim Baker
