COMMENT Historic England (Katie Parsons)

Summary:

A number of potential site allocations are being considered around the edges of Capel St Mary. The size and number of allocations would result in a substantial increase in the size of the existing settlement, the location of the proposed sites along the settlement's northern and south boundaries overlook open land and would result in a significant alteration to the how town is approached, the relationship between any new development and the surrounding landscape should then be carefully considered. The cumulative impact of the potential site allocations should also be considered and evidence to demonstrate how the cumulative impacts have been factored into the site allocation process
