Representations on BMSDC Joint Local Plan Consultation Document (Interactive) - Henley
COMMENT Henley Parish Council (Mr Rod Caird) represented by Mr Rod Caird
Henley Parish Council believes that the village is likely to need around 30 houses, including the 10-15 affordables mentioned in the CAS report, over the next ten years.
The Parish Council believes this will dovetail with the requirements of the Joint Local Plan. The Parish Council believes that the type of housing should be a mix of sizes and styles, with perhaps the greatest emphasis in the smaller and affordable categories. It should include some open-market housing. A number of larger houses in the village are already occupied by older residents who would prefer smaller, bungalow-style homes.
SUPPORT Henley Parish Council (Mr Rod Caird) represented by Mr Rod Caird
Henley Parish Council supports the District Council's intention to create needed and appropriate new housing and is keen to play its part in this managed and constructive process. Henley needs improved transport links and better road and traffic management alongside a modest amount of house building in the right locations in order to create a successful future for the community.
