Representations on BMSDC Joint Local Plan Consultation Document (Interactive) - SS0218 - Land west of Days Road

Representation ID: 10109

COMMENT Historic England (Katie Parsons)

Summary:

Grade II listed Ladymede is located to the immediate west of the proposed site allocation boundary. Any development of the site has the potential to impact upon this heritage asset. There is also some concern regarding the development of this site and the subsequent potential to encourage coalescence with the adjoining settlement of Little Wenham to the North. A number of Roamn finds have been found within the site which could indicate further archaeological potential which should be considered and it is recommended that the policy and supporting text requires an archaeological assessment for development proposals within the site.
