Summary:

The in question is on the top of the quarry. Therefore a cliff edge would be on one of the edges. This was a chalk quarry, I think a major geo-survey would be required to understand the viability of building a settlement.
Access is non existent currently, a new road system would have to constructed from Church Lane, Claydon. As this would be along a path next to the existing Historic Church. There could be issues

Summary:

Not opposed to some new houses but the potential for 2000 would turn Claydon into a town and not a village. The high street is already clogged and schools are already over subscribed (since the Blakenham expansion) - I believe my two daughters education suffers as a result. Claydon does not have the infrastructure. Building on the clifftops above Fir Tree lane would remove easy access to green areas I have via the top of Hazel Rise and would mitigate the whole reason I moved out of Ipswich in the first place. I would consider moving if this went ahead,
