Representations on BMSDC Joint Local Plan Consultation Document (Interactive) - SS0092 - Land to the west of John Shepherd Road, Fressingfield

Representation ID: 13074

OBJECT Fressingfield Parish Council (Mr Alexander Day)

The Parish Council are fundamentally opposed to the proposed sites SS0162, SS0092 and SS0124 .Should these sites be developed it is reasonable to say that the dislocation experienced by the village will take at least two generations to correct. This proposition should be seen as a red flag to both councils as how not to implement a fledgling Local Plan and a moratorium should be extended to any village that sits outside the basic proposals within this consultation document until the substantive Local Plan has been published.

COMMENT Historic England (Katie Parsons)

Fressingfield has a Conservation Area and contains a high concentration of listed buildings.

A number of highly significant buildings are located on the northwest edge of the existing settlement adjacent to this site. The setting of these rural buildings and their group value should be considered as part of the site allocation process.
