Representations on BMSDC Joint Local Plan Consultation Document (Interactive) - SS0147 - Land south of Barretts Lane, Needham Market
COMMENT Environment Agency (Miss Charlie Christensen)
part of the potential development area is at risk from flooding from the Orchardgate Watercourse. Please either edit the potential development area to exclude the area at flood risk or sequentially site development in this area, while ensuring that as part of the development natural flood management is included to reduce future flood risk.
OBJECT Suffolk Wildlife Trust (Mr James Meyer)
Sites SS0146 and SS0147 - these sites represent a block of land which is likely to contain species and/or habitats of nature conservation interest. Further assessment is therefore required to determine whether development in this location is likely to result in any adverse ecological impacts.
OBJECT HHF (EA) Limited (Mel Walton)
Site does not continue the established pattern of the town, merely extending randomly into the countryside where it does not relate well to the services or the town generally.
COMMENT Dr John Caesar
The western parts of this site could be considered too far from the town facilities.
COMMENT Barking Parish Council (Mrs Rosemary Cochrane)
This site MAY cross over the boundary into Barking, but this is difficult to ascertain without the boundary line overlaid. If it does, this should be clear and the site should also appear on the 'Barking' Map page 199.
OBJECT Mr. A. Breen
Not in the draft as yet un-adopted Neighbourhood Plan. It adjoins the town's cemetery which may not have sufficient space for the expanded town's population. There are strong doubts that development in Needham will be matched with better facilities.
