There is some concern with site SS0091/SS0939* which lies
behind the single row of properties forming the southern edge of the settlement along The Street, several of which are Grade II listed. The open nature of the land to the rear of these properties is important not only to the individual buildings but to the wider setting and character of the conservation area. The presence of these heritage assets and their settings should be considered carefully as part of the site allocation process.

This area of land is far too large for the village - housing development on this would result in far too much development in the village. Rickinghall developments should also be considered in relation to Botesdale as both villages share identical facilities and development in one village affects the other.
MSDC need to consider all developments in Botesdale AND Rickinghall together, not individually as they currently do as developers are currently pushing a coach and horses through planning regulations and local residents views are being sidelined.
