Representations on BMSDC Joint Local Plan Consultation Document (Interactive) - SS0141 - Land south of The Street, Stonham Aspal

Representation ID: 11745

OBJECT Stonham Aspal Football Club (Mr Eric Cousins)

Summary:

We wish to see the site included within the settlement boundary.

As an organisation we wish to provide a long term legacy for sports facilities in the village. If the existing site is developed it will enable us to create a permanent facility on another site within Stonham Aspal, which would be suitable for use by for any user group in the village. Crucially, having an improved facility will greatly assist in attracting participants, volunteers, grant assistance and fundraising. This will protect and enhance active participant sport and recreation in the village.

OBJECT Mr Sam Tydeman

Summary:

The site has been identified as unsuitable for allocation or inclusion within the settlement boundary based on lack on information provided at the time of submission.

We have been approached by the tenants of the football field who wish to work with us to improve the long term sustainability of the facility.

Preliminary talks indicate that housebuilders are keen on the site and we believe the development will safegauard and improve facilities available to the village. Our discussions have identified an alternative location for the club facilities. Site submission form submitted as the site boundary has changed slightly.
