The above site was discounted on the basis that part of the site submitted was within Visually Important open Space and playing field. Please note however a considerable part of the site is within the existing settlement boundary of the village.

Thorndon has recently experienced multiple planning applications being granted for over 40 new dwellings in total(a material number given the size of the village).
It is yet to be proven that the village infrastructure can actually support even these dwellings, their occupants and associated traffic etc . We do not believe it can so do not support further expansion at this stage.
